The pre-sale is US$549, with a deposit of US$195 and a balance of US$354 before we ship. The same boot, in stock, is US$725 — and very few pairs of it.
You pay in US dollars. Nothing to convert, and nothing to work out before you order.
These boots are made in our family-run Mexican workshop, with the same materials, methods and specifications as all our boots. The benefit of that is there are no import duties to pay, as there would be on boots made in our Canadian workshops.
Shipping is free anywhere in North America, on this and on every pair.

What a Dayton does is change how you walk into a room. The quality is real — Goodyear welted, re-soleable for as long as you want it, built in East Vancouver since 1946 — but the quality is not the point. What the quality makes you feel is the point. Confidence. Swagger. Ten feet tall and bulletproof.
What is actually on the shelf
Fourteen of our thirty-four sizes are empty right now.
In the regular width, every size from a men’s 8 to a men’s 11 is empty — seven consecutive sizes through the middle of the run.
We build in small batches, so the shelf is never full. We are not restocking into a gap; we are building the next batch. The next regular-width 10 that exists will be one somebody ordered.
Why we pay you to wait
Nothing came out of the boot. The method changed.
Built one at a time, the Beauty takes fourteen to twenty weeks and prices itself out of reach of the people who want it. Built in a standardised batch, to one specification, construction time comes down by about three quarters and the material cost falls with it.
The leather is an exclusive upper we commissioned to our own specification. The construction is Goodyear welted. It is the same Beauty, made the way a factory is supposed to make something it has made since 1946.

A ranch boot with two conditions: simple, and black.
Charlie Wohlford and his son Wayne built logging boots. Then Charles Woodward, of Woodward's, came to Wayne wanting a boot for Douglas Lake, one of the largest cattle ranches in the world. He had two conditions. No decorative stitching, and a single seam up the outside of the shaft so it would not chafe the rider or the horse.
That is the whole brief, and it is still the boot. The motorcycle community took it next and put a rubber sole under it, and the Beauty became the boot people meant when they said their Daytons.

You are paying us months before we can hand you anything.
So the terms are the plainest we write. Cancel any time before we ship, for any reason, and your deposit comes back in full. No fee, no restocking charge, no reason required.
Change your size or width free of charge, any time before we ship.
If we are going to be late, we email you before the window is out, with a new date and the choice to wait or cancel. We do not wait for you to ask.
Once the boots reach you, you have thirty days to send them back and have your money returned. Unworn, in their original packaging, and you cover the return postage.
I have never owned a pair
Tell us your runner size. We do the rest.
Dayton sizes are men's UK, so the number on your trainers is not the number on your boots. You tell us what you run in and whether your foot takes a wider fit, and we convert it.
When your pair is ready we confirm the fit with you before anything is cut. If it is wrong, you change it free of charge, any time before we ship.
